Visa Information
Conference participants may need a Chinese visa to enter China. Specifically, non-Chinese citizens may require a visa, unless they hold a passport from a country that has a mutual visa exemption agreement with China. Participants are advised to check the latest visa policy with the local Chinese embassy or consulate. To avoid uncertainty, participants should apply for a visa as early as possible. It is recommended that they apply at least one month in advance.
For most attendees, it is easier to apply for a Tourist ("L") visa; an invitation letter is not required for obtaining a Tourist visa.
If some participants need another type of visa that does require an invitation letter, the conference local arrangement committee will be glad to help. To obtain an invitation letter, please email the conference secretary with your registration information, and in the case of being an author, your accepted paper ID.
Please note that visa policies are subject to change. Participants are strongly advised to verify the most up-to-date requirements with the local Chinese embassy or consulate before applying.
